The Klingbeil family showed up ready for a fun and active family portrait session at Sir William Johnson Park. Taking advantage of extended family visiting the area they were able to capture intimate and fun family images as a lovely surprise for their parents!
Since we met on the baseball field, I thought it would be fun to incorporate action shots of the kids running and playing with their Dad. We "challenged" the kids to try and knock him over (the kids won this time - sorry Dad, thanks for being a good sport).
What resonated in this family session?
The warm and playful color palette as well as so much laughter! The family was game for posing in four different locations and experimenting with action shots. The kids seemed to enjoy the change of pace and different poses that kept them engaged and ready for the next setup. We allowed them to explore in-between shots that led to this adorable shot above - so precious!
I encourage families to step out and try a few poses that says more about their personalities. It captures their story as a playful or explorative family - a snapshot of WHO they are in between the smiling images. A great way to use these types of images is a photobook album which could seasonal or as an annual yearbook.
